Quarzglas

Quartz glass plays a special role in the field of technical glass.

Highly temperature-resistant - up to 1150°C depending on the type of quartz - and conditionally pressure-resistant, it is ideal as a sight glass for high-temperature applications.

Another important property of quartz glass is its excellent transmission values.
Depending on the type and quality of the glass selected, the desired wavelengths can be observed or faded out.
This makes quartz glass ideal for laser measurement or observation.

For example, a quartz glass of grade JGS1 special is designed for the UV range and has a transmission rate at 185 nm of 90% or more.
It is an ideal optical glass in the 185 - 2500 nm range.

You can find more information on this and many other types of quartz glass on the specific information page on the subject of quartz glass.
